Keep up to date with the latest COVID-19 evidence

We’ve just published the latest edition of our COVID-19 Evidence Bulletin, detailing the latest evidence, guidance and other resources to support the response to the pandemic.

This issue includes guidance from NICE on ‘long COVID’, and resources to support vaccinations.

The libraries are remaining open during the lockdown and there is no need to book ahead – you can drop-in, browse the shelves, use the IT and study individually. If you need to access the libraries when we are unstaffed, you may wish to arrange 24/7 access.

We have put measures in place to keep you and our staff safe – please read and observe these during your visit.

New edition of the Royal Marsden Manual is now available online

The Royal Marsden Manual of Clinical Nursing Procedures provides over 350 evidence-based clinical skills procedures related to essential aspects of a person’s care from handwashing to cardiopulmonary resuscitation, based on the latest research findings and advice from clinical experts. The 10th edition for 2020 is now available.

With COVID-19 in mind, there is a whole chapter (Chapter 4) on Infection Prevention and Control, which includes procedures around PPE, hand decontamination using an alcohol‐based hand rub, and isolation procedures.

Access is available either via the SaTH Intranet, or via an NHS OpenAthens account with Shrewsbury and Telford Health Libraries.
